"DESERVE" - New single out now
“Deserve,” the new single from my next album, is out now on all platforms.
This one’s a little different, but then again, this whole album sounds different. More on that in that later. Until then, hit the links below to find it on your favorite service:
“LET’S JUST GET THROUGH THIS”: Two unreleased tracks out now
My 2019 album Tyrannosaurus is two years old today, and to celebrate, I'm dropping an unreleased track from it!
Let’s Just Get Through This was a track originally meant for Tyrannosaurus, but one I realized fairly early on wasn’t a good fit on that album. I’ve played it live often since then but never released it, and I figure since today is the birthday of the album it was almost on, why not now? I’ve packaged it with a second version no one’s heard yet, which my friend Casey Battle lent his talents to last summer. This feels like a nice way to tie up the longest stretch of work I’ve done so far.
You can download it for free here on this website, or stream it on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, Tidal, Soundcloud, and all other major platforms.
The next thing you’ll be hearing from me will be a new single from the new EP - see you then.
Mexican Standoff: 10th Anniversary Re-Release Out Now
Ten years ago today I released Mexican Standoff, my first single as Animalweapon. I’m celebrating by re-releasing a four-track single with: the version that appeared on my first album Good Luck remastered by Brandon at Steelhouse Mastering, the original very poorly-mixed and -mastered version that came out in 2010, and two super dope new remixes by my ride or die friends Neo Obsidian (with whom I did this year’s split EP, Time Enough) and MVRKHNTR. My go-to artwork guy Blake T. Brady has also gorgeously reimagined the original single’s artwork. You can get it in all the usual places - Spotify, Apple Music, every other streaming platform, or right here on this website.
It’s insane how fast a decade has flown by and I’m proud of myself for still being at it with more to come. Also crazy to think at the time I put this out it was my “electronic side project” to my honestly terrible acoustic coffee house stuff (forgot about THAT pretty quick.) I’ve come a long way, made a lot of progress and written better material since this first came out, but I’m still really proud of this song.
Thanks again for your support over the last ten years. It means more than I can ever express.
